Cliff Scott (born December 21, 1986) better known by his stage name Cliff TUX or simply TUX,

is an American rapper/recording artist best known for his single “I Don’t Trip” in which he

talks about his personal experience of getting his house robbed. He released the video for

this single in April 2010. TUX is also known for his beef with rapper Big Sean. The two

rappers had been cool at first but fell into confrontation in mid 2007.  Shortly after, he

released a video dissing Big Sean and his entire camp. Things have yet to be patched up

between the two.

Tux was born in Flint Michigan, and at a very young age he moved to Pine Bluff, AR. He

bounced between Dallas, Michigan and Pine Bluff and it wasn't long before it became

obvious that Pine Bluff was not a good place for him to be if he was to become successful in

life. Much like most of his cousins and close friends TUX was beginning to get sucked into

the street life, seeing violence, and drugs on a daily basis. During the summer of 2001 he moved

back to Flint, MI.

TUX was introduced to rhyming by his older brother at the age of 13. His brother showed him

how to write his thoughts and rhymes in a notepad in the form of bars. His stage name was

derived from his memory of his grandfather telling him to always practice and put in hard

hours at whatever he did. TUX stands for Time Unveils eXcellence His rhyme schemes and

subject matters were highly influenced by his favorite rappers and rap groups of the time

including Eminem, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Outkast, No Limit, Cash Money, and Jay-Z. He finally

found his way into a studio in 2004 after joining a rap group. The moment he heard his voice

over the beat coming out of the speakers he fell in love with the recording process and rap

all over again. Since then he has went solo and released several underground mixtapes

including his two most recent ones entitled “Hood’s President” vol. 1 and 2.

With his newest mixtape in production he hopes to capture the ears of many more people. By

using his diversity and uniqueness in his heart-felt music he hopes to change the rap game

from being so limited and all sounding the same to being more diverse, passionate, and REAL.
